Kelly Walters Kennedy has held positions throughout the corporate world and within higher education, most recently as the Associate Director of Student Development and Outreach. Kelly is also a Career Development Instructor and Coach who has guided over 7,000 college students as they landed their first internships and jobs.

Kayla and Emma interview Dr. Bill Ryan, Assistant Professor in-Residence in the Marketing Department at the University of Connecticut. Learn about the Marketing Management major, internship opportunities, and what the career path of a Marketing Management major looks like.
Marketing student Jessica Lundgren also interviews Marketing Management student Hannah Smolicz about her experience in the program at the Stamford campus.
Dr. Bill Ryan joined the UConn Marketing faculty in 2011. He is currently the Academic Director of the Professional Sales Leadership Program. Bill has more than 20 years of private sector experience, most recently at Travelers as Second Vice President, National Agency Management, where he worked closely with leading brokers and agency networks, representing over $700 million in annual revenue. Prior to that, Bill held positions in marketing, brand and customer management at CIGNA, Campbell’s Soup, Pepsi-Cola and The Gillette Company. Bill has been at UCONN since 2004, serving as an adjunct marketing instructor.

Junau Boucard is a two-time UConn School of Business alum, completing his undergraduate degree in Business & Technology as well as his MBA. He has held positions with UBS, IBM, and Factset. He is presently a Finance Manager in the MBA Leadership Development program with Johnson & Johnson.
Arminda Kamphausen is the Associate Director of Global Business Programs and an Academic Counselor with the UConn School of Business. She completed her undergraduate degree at Wheaton College and her graduate work at Baylor University. She is passionate about collaborating with alums and industry professionals to innovate programs and leverage experience.

Jose Aponte holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Eastern Connecticut State University and a Master's in Data Analytics from Southern New Hampshire University. He served as Program Specialist for the UConn M.S. in Financial Risk Management(MSFRM) Program before transitioning to an Academic Advisor position with the Office of Undergraduate Advising also in the UConn School of Business.
Spencer Senior completed his Bachelor of Science in Finance at UConn and is now a student in the MSFRM program. He is pursuing a concentration in Quantitative Risk Management.

Giovanna Nogueira Sa holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. She held multiple positions with IBM before joining the UConn MSBAPM community as a graduate student.

As a University of Connecticut student you may have the opportunity to move between the different UConn campuses around the state. UConn students who campus-change most often go from one of the regional campuses in Hartford, Waterbury, Avery Point, or Stamford to Storrs. Learn about some common challenges and obstacles students face as they transition to the larger Storrs campus, and some helpful strategies to ease your adjustment.
Amy Donofrio completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Connecticut, and her Master of Education In Instructional Design and Technology at Post University. She is currently working toward her Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership at University of Hartford. Amy has worked as a Social Worker and Admissions Counselor, and is currently an Academic Advisor with the UConn College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Kelli Petersen completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Connecticut, and her Master of Science in College Student Development and Counseling at Northeastern University. She is an Academic Advisor with the UConn Academic Center for Exploratory Students, and also manages the Transfer Connections program.
Thomas Dineen is a sophomore Accounting major at the University of Connecticut. He began his college career at the Hartford campus before transitioning to the Storrs campus.
