Learn ways to begin engaging with faculty.  Assistant Professor in Residence, Bill Ryan, shares some of his tips and strategies for connecting with faculty throughout your time at UConn.  
Bill Ryan joined the Marketing faculty in 2011 to head our Professional Sales and Marketing Leadership programs. He is currently the Academic Director of the Professional Sales leadership Program. Bill has more than 20 years of private sector experience, most recently at Travelers as Second Vice President, National Agency Management, where he worked closely with leading brokers and agency networks, representing over $700 million in annual revenue. Prior to that, Bill held positions in marketing, brand and customer management at CIGNA, Campbell’s Soup, Pepsi-Cola and The Gillette Company. Bill has been at UCONN since 2004, serving as an adjunct marketing instructor. In his current role, Bill is active in teaching undergraduates and PMBA’s at Storrs and the regional campuses, advising students and leading outreach with employer partners that recruit students for marketing and sales internships and career track positions.

Arminda Kamphausen is the Associate Director of Global Business Programs and an Academic Counselor with the UConn School of Business. She completed her undergraduate degree at Wheaton College and her graduate work at Baylor University. She is passionate about collaborating with alums and industry professionals to innovate programs and leverage experience.

Kaithleen Pesantez graduated from the UConn School of Business with her Bachelors in Financial Management in 2019, and with her Masters in Financial Risk Management in 2020. She is a Financial Analyst with JP Morgan Chase. She transferred to UConn from Naugatuck Valley Community College.
Amanda Despres is a junior Finance major in the UConn School of Business. She transferred from Manchester Community College.
Susan Harding is an Academic Advisor with the UConn School of Business who focuses on supporting our transfer students. She came to UConn after serving as the Director of Academic Advising at New England College.

She currently works within the Administrative and Program Support unit of UConn Student Activities, focusing on community outreach and leadership & organizational development.

Sonja Narcisse is a Senior Vice President of Human Resources and a faculty member with the UConn Human Resource Management graduate program. She has extensive experience in the field of human resources and is a passionate advocate for mentorship.
Kelly Walters Kennedy has held positions throughout the corporate world and within higher education, most recently as the Associate Director of Student Development and Outreach. Kelly is also a Career Development Instructor and Coach who has guided over 7,000 college students as they landed their first internships and jobs.
